Rukom pisana pjesma tada šesnaestogodišnjeg Boba Dylana uskoro će biti ponuđena na prodaju putem aukcije. Pjesma koju je Dylan napisao kao tinejdžer u jednom ljetnom kampu mogla bi postići cijenu između 10 i 15 tisuća dolara.
Pjesmu “Little Buddy” Dylan je napisao sredinom 1950. tijekom boravka u ljetnome kampu Herzl (Wisconsin), a objavljena je u časopisu kampa The Herzl Herald. Priču o psu Dylan je potpisao kao Bobby Zimmerman.
Sve ovo vrijeme Lisa Heilicher, nekadašnja urednica časopisa, pjesmu je čuvala skupa s ostalim stvarima iz kampa: “Kada sam shvatila koliko je postao slavan, stavila sam je u plastičnu omotnicu i umetnula u enciklopediju.”
Heilicher će novac od prodaje donirati svome kampu kako bi se obnovile barake i drugi objekti.
Pjesma će pod aukcijski čekić 23. lipnja skupa s još nekoliko Dylanovih memorabilija, a evo kako glasi:
