Kao što je već najavljeno, skupina Coldplay svoj novi album “X & Y” objavit će 06. lipnja, a najavit će ga singl “Speed Of Sound”. Istovremeno kada i u cijelom svijetu, novi singl moći ćete u cjelosti čuti u ponedjeljak 18. travnja, u 22.20 u eteru Otvorenog radija.
Oni koji su nestrpljivi već sada mogu čuti 10 sekundni isječak pjesme na adresi http://www.cingular.com/cingularsounds. Naime, novi je singl već dostupan u prodaji, ali samo kao ringtone, pa je američka kompanija Cingular Wireless, koja je otkupila prava za distribuciju ringtona, svojim kupcima ponudila i spomenuti isječak na slušanje. Ovo je prvi puta u povijesti glazbene industrije da je jedan singl premijerno, barem djelomično, predstavljen na ovaj način.
“X & Y”, naslijednik je multiplatinastog izdanja “A Rush Of Blood To The Head” za koje su se bend okitio i Grammyjima i Britsima. Novi album je sniman u proteklih godinu dana u Velikoj Britaniji uz producentsku podršku Danton Supplea (Morrisey, Elbow) i Ken Nelsona (Badly Drawn Boy, Kings Of Convenience).
