Najpoznatija, ujedno i najuspješnija, švicarska glazbena grupa svih vremena Yello ove godine slavi jubilarnih 30 godina djelovanja na sceni.
Povodom te obljetnice početkom studenog objavit će svoju novu ‘best of’ kompilaciju te antologiju koje će presjecati njihovu cjelokupnu karijeru, od prvog albuma “Solid Pleasure” iz 1980. pa sve do posljednjega “Touch Yello” izdanog prošle godine.
Njezino deluxe izdanje imenovano “The Anthology Box” će sadržavati dva pridodana CD diska – “Anthology Vol. 1” i “Anthology Vol. 2” na kojima će se naći materijal koji su osobno odabrali članovi grupe – klavijaturist i perkusionist Boris Blank i vokalist te tekstopisac Dieter Meier.
“The Anthology Box” također će sadržavati tri nove pjesme grupe – “Dialectical Kid”, “Liquid Lies” i “Tears Run Dry” te knjižicu na čijih će se 48 stranica rasprostirati njihove raritetne fotografije i osobne bilješke.
Yello su osnovani u Zurichu 1979. godine, a u prvotnoj postavi također je bio i manipulator traka Carlos Peron. Broj studijskih album izdanja objavljenih im dosad je 12. Najpoznatiji su po hit-singlu “The Race” koji je 1988. dosegnuo 7. mjesto britanskoga charta.
