27.8.2010. @ 15:39
"Coals To Newcastle" - naziv je nadolazećeg box-seta kultne škotske '80s new wave grupe Orange Juice, a bit će objavljen 7. studenog.
Box-set će činiti 6 CD-a i 1 DVD te će sadržavati sva četiri studijska albuma, zatim singlove s pripadajućim im B-stranama, BBC sessione, live izvedbe, promotivne videospotove i raritetni koncertni film "Dada With Juice".
Objavljuje ga etiketa Domino Records a uključivat će i 16 dosad neobjavljenih pjesama te još 23 druga uratka koji se nisu našli na dosadašnjim reizdanjima materijala grupe.
Nadolazeću antologiju, koju frontmen im Edwyn Collins opisuje kao 'najiscrpniji pregled svih im uradaka', otvara proširena edicija kompilacije "The Glasgow School" iz 2005. koja obuhvaća sve njihove najpoznatije uratke izdane za etiketu Postcard Records te se nastavlja svim im četirima studijskim albumima - "You Can't Hide Your Love Forever" (1982.), "Rip It Up" (1982.), "Texas Fever" (1984.) i "The Orange Juice" (1984.) s pridodanim im bonus materijalima nastalima oko vremena originalne objave svakoga.
Šesti CD disk sadrži sessione snimljene za BBC u periodu između 1980. i 1984. godine, dok se na DVD-u uz spomenuti rariteni koncertni film "Dada With Juice", koji se do sada samo mogao naći na VHS-u, nalaze i promotivni videospotovi za hit-singlove "Rip It Up" i "What Presence?!" te nastupi u BBC-evoj televizijskoj emisiji "The Old Grey Whistle Test".
Orange Juice su osnovani u Glasgowu 1979. Originalno ime im je bilo Nu-Sonics. Uz Collinsa postava im je uključivala Jamesa Kirka, Davida McClymonta, Stevena Dalya, Malcolma Rossa i Zekea Manyiku.
Svoj su službeni raspad obznanili 1985., a ponovo se jednokratno okupili 2008. godine.
Najveći uspjeh im je bio spomenuti singl "Rip It Up" koji je 1983. dosegnuo 8. mjesto britanskoga charta.
