Mike Portnoy, virtuozni bubnjar progresivnih metalaca Dream Theater poznat je kao veliki ljubitelj svakojake muzike, a samim time često iznosi i svoje top ljestvice.
Ovoga puta je na MySpace stranici ponudio svoje favorite za najbolje albume 2009. i ovog desetljeća. Naglasio je da se držao principa "jedan bend - jedan album" na rang-listi desetljeća.
